Ever since Marvel Studios dropped Jonathan Majors' Kang the Conqueror, there has been a lot of curiosity and rising discussions around the franchise's next big bad. Many believed he would either be recast or the studios would find a new baddie for Avengers movies. However, the San Diego Comic-Con gave fans a clear vision, of what's next for the MCU.

The Russos announced that Robert Downey Jr. is back—not to portray Tony Stark this time, but Marvel Comics' most renowned, supervillain, Victor Von Doom. This shocking reveal took the internet by storm, garnering mixed reactions from fans worldwide. Aside from fans, even MCU actors, including Mark Ruffalo and Gwyneth Paltrow, shared their reactions to Downey's return. Look at the comments below.

This big news also got a reaction from Majors, who got fired last year after being convicted of misdemeanor assault. Previously, the MCU had already initiated setting up his antagonistic character in its universe by introducing him in Loki Season 1, followed by Antman & The Wasp: Quantumania and Loki Season 2. However, the Majors' exit caused them to drop the Avengers: The Kang Dynasty title from Avengers 5. They, now, renamed it as Avengers: Doomsday, starring RDJ. But it looks like Majors doesn't seem to be happy about RDJ replacing him as the main baddie and here's why.

In a recent interview with TMZ, Majors addressed RDJ's return as Victor Von Doom. He revealed that he is "heartbroken" over Marvel's decision to replace Kang The Conqueror with Dr. Doom. Moreover, he expressed his love for Kang and deemed Dr. Doom "wicked.".

Alluding to Downey's legal troubles of the 90s, Majors said, “I think it’s fair that Mr. Downey is being and has been greeted with patience and curiosity, and love … and [he’s] being allowed to work [his] art and be creative at that level. I didn’t really get that.”

He also expressed his interest in returning as Kang in the MCU. He says that if fans and Marvel want the same, he is up for a return.
