Halo’s Master Chief holograms pop up around the world with Paramount+ x Minute Media partnership
As one of the most popular video game franchises of all time, it’s not surprising that Halo would be adapted into a TV show or movie series at some point. The sci-fi game follows a group of super-soldiers, including one of the more recognizable game characters called Master Chief Petty Officer John-117, its protagonist. And while the new TV show from Paramount+ is loosely based on the video game, it wouldn’t be Halo without the character.
The Wire alum Pablo Schreiber portrays the one and only Master Chief in the show, which was developed by Kyle Killen and Steven Kane.
Halo premiered on Paramount+ on March 24, 2022, releasing new episodes on the app weekly every Thursday. Fans were no doubt so excited to see how Master Chief would be brought to life for the show. Anyone who follows the franchise is in for a treat now, as the streamer has something special to show off with a new installation seeing the character actually larger than life.
Master Chief from Halo was seen as hologram around the world
In a partnership with Minute Media, Wavemaker, and Kaleida, Paramount+ erected multiple holograms of Master Chief across the world this past weekend, seeing the iconic video game character stand at 60 feet tall in Sao Paulo, Toronto, Mexico City, and the Sydney Harbour on April 17, 2022.
Not only were the installations 60 feet tall, but each Master Chief weighed over 24 tons, breaking records and now being dubbed the “HALOgram.” Check out some of the amazing photos from the event below.

Minute Media’s very own Ed Bovingdon from Entertainment Partnerships said of the event:
"“Minute Media is thrilled to have been an integral part of bringing this innovative and ambitious project to life. Our priority is to empower brands, partners, global publishers and content creators through innovation and video amplification. We are always looking to push boundaries with our partners and the HALOgram was a perfect opportunity to realize that vision. Creating such an epic experiential activation on a global scale allowed us to leverage our credentials in technology and content in new ways and celebrate the success of the HALO series in style.”"
Halo made Paramount+ history when it debuted in March, becoming the most-watched premiere ever for the streaming service. Despite its first season still airing, the show has been renewed for a second season, leaving fans excited for what’s to come.
