The 2022 iHeart Radio Music Awards gather the biggest names in music

The 2022 iHeart Radio Music Awards are airing tonight from The Shrine in Los Angeles, California. With LL Cool J set to host and Jennifer Lopez accepting the Icon Award, the night is bound to be the latest step towards the Grammy Awards on April 3rd, 2022.  The Icon Award will honor Lopez for “her impact on pop culture, longevity and continued relevance as a touring and radio force.” In addition to the monumental moment, the iHeart Radio Music Awards will include an array of performances and award presentations.

What to expect from the 2022 iHeart Radio Music Awards

The award show is one of the latest broadcasts to come back after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. A lineup of star-studded appearances will sure make it a night to remember. The lineup includes Olivia Rodrigo, Lil Nas X, Silk Sonic, Billy Porter, The Kid LAROI, David Guetta, Avril Lavigne, Shaun White, All Time Low, Willow Smith, Robin Thicke, Nicole Scherzinger, Gina Torres, Oliver Hudson, Taylor Momsen, Lainey Wilson, Dove Cameron, Danica McKellar and more.

While Jennifer Lopez has been seen by many in her film Marry Me, she will also be seen making a performance during the awards show. Many performers who have currently been out of the spotlight will also be making performances. The performers for the night include Jason Aldean, John Legend, Maneskin, Charlie Puth, and Megan Thee Stallion.

The great thing about the iHeart Radio Music Awards is that it brings together artists of all genres. Because so, its nominees are just as diverse. The biggest nominees include BTS, who is breaking international records, Dua Lipa, who is closing off one of the biggest years of her career, and Adele, who is closing off the launch of her biggest record to date.

“The 2022 iHeartRadio Music Awards” will air on Tuesday, March 22 at 8 p.m. on FOX.
