BTS is loved across the world. That could explain why they have broken three new Guinness World Records. And the fact that they hold records in the social media space makes it no surprise either. The South Korean boy band has taken over the airwaves since 2013 and their rise in the music spice has continued to increase ever since then.

The music sensation is now the most followed music group on three of the biggest social media platforms. They are the most followed music group on Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok. In February 2002 alone, their collective social media accounts across all platforms reached 60,151,959 followers. The group previously held the record but had a 20 million follower increase since last April 2021.

The group holds a total of 25 Guinness World Records. They had previously been welcomed into Guinness World Records 2022 Hall of Fame in September 2021. This occurred when the band surpassed One Direction’s Twitter record for most followers. The band had achieved 31,747,631 followers in 2017 and kept increasing their followers until BTS passed their numbers, at 44,167,059 followers.

The group also hold Guinness Wolrd Records in categories such as “Most weeks at No. 1 for Billboard‘s Social 50 chart”, “Most weeks for a K-pop group on the Billboard Hot 100”, “Most weeks at No. 1 on Billboard‘s Digital Singles chart”, “Most streamed track on Spotify in 24 hours”, and “Most viewers for the premiere of a music video on YouTube.”

Although the group is currently on an extended hiatus, they are also in preparation for a tour that is set to begin on March 10. The tour will begin in South Korea. It is the first show that the band will perform in their home country since 2018.
