Good Trouble: Season 4 premiere date revealed
Freeform’s Good Trouble made massive use of its season 3 finale, “Closing Arguments,” to tease several cliffhangers. Now, fans finally know they can expect the show to return on Wednesday, March 9.
The last time viewers saw the Coterie residents in action, just about everyone had some drama headed in their direction. If season 4 is anything like the rest of the show, things will only get more complicated.
Good Trouble has many storyline possibilities set up for its fourth season, whether romantic, personal, or professional conflict. “Closing Arguments” had done a solid job of leaving several things open-ended while giving other storylines a sense of closure or answers they needed. Season 4 will undeniably address the fallout of many of these choices moving forward.
Good Trouble has always thrived in the chaos of drama and balancing that with telling a powerful and meaningful story. It will not be a surprise if season 4 continues that mentality and emotional decision-making in how plotlines unfold.
As of the conclusion of season 3, every central character is at a critical crossroads or moment in their life, and season 4 has the chance to emphasize the importance of what that means for each of them.
Good Trouble has flourished as a series in discussing the elements of chosen and found family while also tackling the struggles of making a name for yourself in your chosen career path. Callie and Mariana have each proven themselves as professionals, but the show never backs down from throwing hurdles in their way.
But, the series will also benefit from additional casting updates. Priscilla Quintana, who portrays Isabella, has been updated to a series regular. However, Good Trouble has also announced new additions to the cast to shake up the show and enhance its stories with new characters.
The casting updates suggest that Isabella’s importance to the story may be increasing. Meanwhile, brand new characters can help enrich the narratives Good Trouble wants to tell with a fresh perspective.
Season 4 has a lot it needs to do, but the previous seasons have proven the series is up for the challenge.
