Roswell, New Mexico ended their third season with a two hour finale event (basically giving us episodes 12 and 13 on one night). And while we are sad that we won’t be tuning in for more of Max, Liz, Michael, Isobel, and the rest of their circle on The CW for another year or so, we were also pretty excited to get two hours of action, romance, and more.

Over the course of this finale, Roswell did what it does best – it gave us an emphasis on relationships. And whether we are talking about romance, friendship, or even familial relationships, there was truly a little bit of everything in these two hours.

But the most poignant moments truly came when we saw Isobel and Kyle together, Liz and Max together, and Alex and Michael together. And the reason for that is love. These are duos who truly love each other. While Kyle and Isobel seem like star-crossed lovers at this point, the former star-crossed couples have finally found their way back to each other.

Malex looks to finally be official and we are loving it. We love these two men together, proving that there is strength in being broken and put back together. And even Liz and Max can appreciate that sentiment because they too have found themselves broken and reformed over the years.

The Roswell season 3 finale delivers on the relationships and the shock factor

However, while we are here for the relationships and deeper connections that were formed in Season 3 and cemented in this finale, it wasn’t the only big thing that happened. In fact, the final moments of the finale proved that Roswell is ready to blow our minds when the show returns to The CW for its fourth season.

And why do I say this? Because it looks like we have a new alien heading to Roswell, and it also sounds like Liz Ortecho’s mentor is none other than the original Liz herself, Shiri Appleby. That’s right! In those final moments, we get a blast from Roswell past in the form of Appleby! And it sounds like she knows exactly who Liz Ortecho is and who the aliens are.

We have no clue what Jones was able to do before he was put down, but it certainly seems like he was able to send out a signal to the universe that may spell trouble for our Roswell crew. And having a naked woman with the triad symbol on their wrist show up in Mexico and stumbling across whoever Appleby’s character is (at this point we know nothing except she was Liz’s mentor and her name is Allie) sounds like the kind of drama we can’t wait to dive deeper with.

Season 3 was an epic journey for all of these characters and it looks like things are just getting started now that we have a new alien in the mix in Roswell and perhaps at least one more alien wandering around in Mexico.

Next. Nancy Drew is back and her town is embracing her detective work. dark

But what did you think? Were you a fan of Season 3? And what did you think of the two hour finale? We want to know.
