Those Who Wish Me Dead, Tenet, and more coming to HBO Max in May

A new month means an exciting batch of new content is arriving on HBO Max!  The most obvious news is, again, the simultaneous release of a big theatrical property on the streamer on the same day that it arrives in theaters.

After the successful premieres of Godzilla vs. Kong and Mortal Kombat, all eyes turn to the streamer’s big Angelina Jolie thriller Those Who Wish Me Dead. In it, Jolie plays Hannah, a smokejumper reeling from the loss of three lives she failed to save from a fire, who comes across a traumatized 12‐year‐old boy with nowhere else to turn. It arrives on May 14.

Christopher Nolan’s would-be blockbuster Tenet also arrives on HBO Max this month after a disappointing theatrical run last summer. The thing is, last summer no one was going to movie theaters really, so there’s only so much a movie like this could have hoped to do in terms of ticket sales. Perhaps a bigger audience awaits it on streaming, where fans can more easily dissect its twisty plot.

Plus, if you missed Wonder Woman 1984 during its brief release window in December, the sequel is returning to the platform to join the rest of its DCEU family.
