Netflix reveals when we are heading to Bly Manor

Following the shockingly well-received release of The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix, fans of the show wanted more. And while they may have been hoping for a prequel or even sequel about the ghosts of that particular haunted house, the streaming service instead gifted us with news of a new mansion with ghosts whose stories needed to be told. And thus, came the anticipation for The Haunting of Bly Manor.

If you have read The Turn of the Screw, the book that Bly Manor is based upon, then you likely have an idea of what to expect from this new series. However, after the magic that was Hill House (another series based on a book), we can’t wait to see what the cast and crew are able to create with this story.

And now, thanks to the first official teaser for Haunting of Bly Manor, we not only know when it will begin streaming on Netflix but also have a pretty good idea of just how creepy the show will be.

Haunting of Bly Manor to stream on Netflix starting Oct. 9

Not only do we learn that the newest addition to the Haunting franchise is set to drop in October, but we also got a look at some of our new characters. And can I just point out that when a teaser starts with creepy singing, a basement with antique dolls, and just the enough darkness so that not everything on your screen is clearly visible, then you know you’re in for a ride?

Seriously, this teaser for Haunting of Bly Manor is everything we could have hoped for and more. We are about to get the chills and thrills we loved from Hill House in an entirely new story.

From unknown entities making awful noises in the background (and being shushed by a child) to what can only be a ghost in a pile of porcelain dolls, Bly Manor is already setting the stage for plenty of chills and thrills. In fact, with almost no words spoken, this series is already ramping up the fear and setting our nerves on fire.

Now we just have to wait for the next full trailer to drop so we can really get a feel for what to expect. And hopefully, that also means getting to see another ghost or two as well.
