If you grew up reading R.L. Stine, then you already know all about Fear Street. And now we get to experience on our screens thanks to Netflix.

If you haven’t been on Fear Street in awhile (well why not?!), have no fear (or all the fear) as Netflix is about to take us there in 2021. It turns out that not only are we about to be immersed in the horror of R.L. Stine’s iconic world of horror, but it’s happening even sooner than we could have imagined,

According to SyFy Wire, Netflix will be delivering us an epic horror event in the summer of 2021. And while you may be wondering how they can do this so quickly, it turns out that filming on all three movies has already been completed! (Yes, we are about to have a summer of horror heading our way.)

If you are a fan of R.L. Stine, then you may already be familiar with the Fear Street books. There are a number of books set in the early 1990s in a small Ohio town. As part of this movie trilogy, we are about to see as teenagers do what they do best – meddle in things they probably shouldn’t.

Fear Street trilogy set for Netflix in summer 2021

Unlike the Goosebumps books, the Fear Street stories are a bit darker and more bloody, which means that horror fans are in for a real treat. Netflix is planning this to be an event series and hopefully, it does really well because we need more R.L. Stine horror in our lives.

Considering this series is set to be as much a horror trilogy as it is a mystery, we can’t wait to learn more about what Netflix has in store for us. Not only do we want to know exactly which books in the Fear Street series are being brought to life, but we want actual release dates and all the details of who is playing who.

At this point, we do know some of the actors we can expect to see on Fear Street, including Jeremy Ford, Olivia Welch, Gillian Jacobs, and Benjamin Flores Jr., to name just a few.
