The 77th annual Golden Globes are here, and that means we’ll see winners in all the major television categories soon enough. For now, who do we think will win?

The 77th annual Golden Globes are taking place tonight, and while much of the hype surrounding the awards ceremony is regarding the movie categories, there are also plenty of television categories that will see winners this evening. The range of nominees in the television categories is full of talented actors and actresses, and each series nominated as the best in its category could easily take home an award.

With the Emmys behind us, it’s slightly easier to guess which nominees will win big in the television categories this evening — but even knowing which shows critics are raving about, there can always be surprises.

Here are our predictions for the winners in the major television categories for this year’s Golden Globes.

Best Television Series – Drama: Killing Eve

Killing Eve is coming up on its third season, has already just been renewed for a fourth, and has received an Emmy for its Lead Actress last year — and that’s not to mention all the Emmy nominations the series got. Given how beloved this show seems to be when it comes to critics and general audiences, we’re willing to bet it will take home Best Drama Series this evening. The only other nominee that might stand in its way is Succession.

Best Television Series – Comedy: Fleabag

Fleabag has become a phenomenon as of late, especially after its unexpected Emmy presence, and it seems likely the Golden Globes will follow suit in giving the series recognition. While there are other great contenders for Best Comedy Series, Fleabag is likely to take home the prize. And honestly, we can’t say it isn’t deserved…

Limited Series or Television Film: Chernobyl

Following on the heels of Game of Thrones’ final season, Chernobyl was HBO’s big hit of the summer — and it received as much praise from critics at the Emmys as it did from audiences of ho watched as it blew up. Given the series’ impact, it’s reasonable to assume it’ll take home Best Miniseries this evening.

Best Actor – Drama: Rami Malek

Rami Malek is one of those actors who already has numerous prestigious awards under his belt, and with Mr. Robot having just finished its final season, we’re betting Malek will take home a Golden Globe for his leading role on the show.

Best Actress – Drama: Jennifer Aniston

Apple TV+’s The Morning Show has been a hot topic of discussion since it came out, particularly because it addresses such important and relevant topics. With two of its leads up for Best Actress in a Drama Series, it’s probable one of them will win — and we’re willing to bet it’ll be Jennifer Aniston. One, because her performance is stellar, and two, because she’s Jennifer Aniston.

Best Actor – Comedy: Bill Hader

Barry was another huge hit during the Emmys, and Bill Hader’s performance is part of what makes the series so beloved. Of all the nominees up for Best Actor in a Comedy Series, Hader will likely receive the honor for his portrayal of Barry’s lead.

PHOEBE WALLER-BRIDGE

Best Actress – Comedy: Phoebe Waller-Bridge

Like we mentioned before, Fleabag is poised to steal the evening when it comes to television awards, and that’s why we’re guessing Phoebe Waller-Bridge will take home Best Actress in a Comedy Series. She already dominated the Emmys, so why not the Golden Globes as well?

Best Actor – Limited Series or Television Film: Sam Rockwell

If we had to wager a guess who will take home Best Actor in a Limited Series, Sam Rockwell seems an obvious choice. After all, Fosse/Verdon has received much acclaim, and it makes sense its lead would win a Golden Globe. Of course, there are other almost-as-likely options among the nominees for this category, but Rockwell remains number one.

Catherine the Great

Best Actress – Limited Series or Television Film: Helen Mirren

Catherine the Great hasn’t received a ton of hype this awards season, but Helen Mirren seems like a given in the category of Best Actress in a Limited Series. Not only does her performance as Catherine stand out among the other nominees, but Mirren is more or less a legend.
