Titans season 2 episode 2 preview: Rose Wilson makes her debut
This week’s Titans episode features a DC Comics legend: Rose Wilson. So, you’re basically obligated to tune in and binge-read all her comic appearances.
Once again, the new Titans episode is upon us, and we’re officially on Rose Wilson lockdown. As we wait for Titans season 2 episode 2, “Rose,” to drop this Friday, it’s easy to see why everyone is whelmed about Ravager’s Titans debut.
The day we’ve been waiting for is almost here, and yes, we’re talking about the day we get to see Chelsea Zhang kick butt as Rose Wilson. Based on the promotion images for this weeks episode, “Rose” is going to be nothing short of intense.

Seriously, look at all their intimidating superhero stances. Something is going to happen.
After Rachel defeated Trigon last week and the team split up in the season premiere, virtually anything can happen. Even in regard to Rose Wilson, a lot can happen this week. After all, her comic counterpart has a notorious repertoire as Ravager — an alias Grant Wilson.
Rose is dynamic because her identity is ever-changing, and she has a lengthy list of accomplishments to boot. She’s honed her apprenticeship with her dad, Deathstroke. She’s been a pseudo-villain (again, thanks to dear ole dad), an anti-hero, a hero, and a Teen Titan. Heck, she’s even saved several Teen Titans both under Slade’s leadership and as a part of the team. Even without her meta-human abilities, she’s a skilled fighter who can and has given the Boy Wonder a run for his acrobatics.
Regardless of the continuity, Rose is a kick-butt character who has a captivating journey with revenge and finding her path in a world of meta-humans. Given the clear Wilson-focused conflict “Rose” could introduce a myriad of comic homage about the family.
We’d love to write a more specific Rose Wilson appreciation article (like she deserves), but that’s a slippery slope to drafting a 5,000-word article. Plus, it’s better if you experience her comic panels for yourself. While you can’t really prepare for all the antics this week by brushing up on Rose Wilson’s comic history, we can give you comic suggestions that feature Rose so you can get even more hyped for her titular episode:
- Deathstroke the Terminator
- Nightwing (1996)
- Teen Titans (2003)
- Superboy (2011)
- DC Bombshells (2015)
- Deathstroke (2016)
A TV debut on Friday the 13th and a full moon is iconic enough, but Rose’s comic history already proves she’s a renegade. And we can’t wait to see how Titans will reimagine her character, how Chelsea Zhang interprets Ravager, and all those expected fight scenes.
