A Discovery of Witches: Diana’s landed herself in trouble (again) in this new clip

Diana and Matthew seem to be enjoying their time away, but this new clip shows that they can’t rest easy. Danger’s lurking around every corner.

A Discovery of Witches fans, it seems like our poor Diana is getting herself into a pickle again this week — and there’s a new clip that shows it.

Last time, at the end of episode 5, Diana got herself into the ultimate pickle when she was snatched up by Satu. Then, last week, we saw what happened as a result of her kidnapping, and it wasn’t pretty. Satu beat her up quite badly, and then left her abandoned in the deep, dark pit.

Luckily, for a moment, we got a bit of relief when Matthew and Baldwin came to her rescue. (Well, really, she rescued herself by flying on her own. But good for Matthew and Baldwin for being there for moral support.)

Now, as we saw in the preview for episode 7, Matthew and Diana are escaping Europe and making their way to the states. Ahh, things should be peaceful on their stateside getaway, right? Wrong.

Here’s the synopsis for episode 7:

"A Discovery of Witches continues with an all-new episode on Sunday, May 19 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on AMC/BBC America. In this week’s episode, Diana learns the tragic circumstances surrounding why she was spellbound as a child, while Diana’s devastation at having lived her life as only half herself is interrupted by the Madison house releasing one of the missing pages from Ashmole 782."

It’s a simple enough description that makes it seems like things won’t be completely bad for our vampire and witch lovers this week, but that’s not all. In the new clip, while Diana and Matthew seem to be having fun with a game of Hide and Seek to test her powers, things quickly take a turn for the worst.

Well, thanks to Matthew for helping Diana with her powers now that we know she’s liberated from being spellbound. But, unfortunately, that’s not going to stop the other side from hunting her down.

Running into Juliette may not be as bad as being captured by Satu — mainly because Matthew saw her go into the barn. And hopefully that means her Romeo will come quickly running to find out what’s going on. If Matthew doesn’t intervene before things really go south, then something’s clearly wrong.

Either way, we’ll just have to see how it all plays out in this upcoming episode of A Discovery of Witches.
