The Congregation is up to something in this Discovery of Witches sneak peek

In this episode 4 clip of A Discovery of Witches, watch as Knox introduces Satu to the rest of the Congregation. She meets Agatha there, and they unite for something suspicious.

Four episodes in, and A Discovery of Witches is really kicking it up a notch. Peter Knox has been something of a thorn on Diana’s side, squeezing her at every angle to get more information about Ashmole 782. (Won’t he just back off already?) But most importantly, last week, we find out about The Congregation, a council of supernatural people who also keep the archive files of witches, daemons and vampires.

Last week’s episode also introduced us to Agatha Wilson, who we also learn is a part of the Congregation, too. We’ll be seeing more of her in the episode 4 sneak peek clip where Knox introduces her to Satu. (On the bright side of this sinister-looking meeting, at least there’ll be more women in the Congregation, right?)

Here’s the episode synopsis to give you a hint about what to expect:

"Matthew’s hope of keeping Diana safe is short-lived as Ysabeau refuses to welcome the warmblood. Knox calls an emergency meeting of the Congregation to denounce Matthew but Matthew’s ferocious brother Baldwin plays a careful game to maintain control."

You can watch Satu meet the Congregation in the clip below:

So, it looks like we’ll be learning more about the Clairmont family by being introduced to Matthew’s brother, Baldwin. Will Baldwin be on Matthew and Diana’s side, or will he distrust his brother for becoming tied to a witch?

Based on the episode preview, “Bound Together,” Baldwin doesn’t sound so happy about Matthew crossing these boundaries with Diana. With the Congregation seemingly unhappy with Diana and what’s been going on, it looks like Baldwin is serious about Matthew turning Diana over to them.

We don’t know a ton about the Congregation right now, but judging by the dark atmosphere and, honestly, just Knox being a part of it, it doesn’t look like they’ll have Diana’s best interests in mind. And with Matthew protecting his love, this doesn’t seem like something he’ll be so likely to do just because his brother asks him to.
