Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger preview: Let’s go to the Darkforce Dimension

Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger sends two of our characters back into the Darkforce Dimension. Can they help save Tyrone from his own powers?

Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger has pushed its characters to their limits nearly every episode of this second season.

This past episode — “Vikingtown Sound” –was no exception. Tandy was nearly put into the sex trafficking ring and then had a great heroic moment to break out of it and literally break through walls. And Tyrone pushed his powers to the edge (with a little help from Mayhem in the Darkforce Dimension).

So much so that his powers are leaking out of him in a bad way.

Here is the official synopsis for this week’s episode, courtesy of Freeform:

"Tandy and Evita must go to great lengths when Tyrone is put in a dangerous situation. Meanwhile, Adina looks to someone surprising for help."

When Chantelle died taking on Andre, I assumed Evita would make it back into the picture somehow. She was obviously very close with her auntie — and I’m sure we’ll get a better idea of what that record was that Chantelle listened to involving Evita’s birth.

Evita is also one of the few characters who knows about Tyrone’s powers. Cloak and Dagger has been very good on keeping their powers quiet to their family, so who else can Tandy turn to in order to help Tyrone?

And I think Evita is one of the few characters who will be able to take the Darkforce Dimension in stride and actually help rather than flounder through whatever Andre throws at them. Because you know it won’t be a cakewalk into town.

Also, easy guess as to who Adina looks to for help? Connors. His repenting schtick comes across as the truth, but we all saw him try to go for that knife in the kitchen. Ten bucks says he ends up getting the jump on Adina.

We’re down to the last few episodes of Cloak and Dagger, so it’s only fair that things start to ramp up even more. How much more will get thrown at Tandy and Tyrone? More than we can probably fathom.
