Photo shows Gwyneth Paltrow possibly sporting a special suit for Avengers 4

A leaked photo possibly from the set of Avengers 4 shows Gwyneth Paltrow wearing a brand new suit that looks strikingly similar to Rescue.

The Marvel rumors are continuously swirling, especially today. First, the rumor mill ran rampant in figuring out who will be the next Marvel character to get their own spinoff. Now, a leak is supposedly confirming that a hunch about Gwyneth Paltrow that many have had for a while now.

That suspicion is that Paltrow might appear as Rescue in Avengers 4. The persona is one akin to what we saw in Iron Man 3 when Pepper donned one of Tony’s suits and ended up saving the day. In the comics, this happens on the occasion — with Pepper Potts stepping aside from her duties at Stark Industries to be to a legitimate superhero every now and then.

Earlier last week, leaked toy packaging seemed to reveal that Rescue would be appearing in the new film. But now, Paltrow herself looks to be giving away the biggest spoiler about her character. In a photo that surfaced on the internet earlier today, Paltrow is seen taking a selfie in front of a green screen wearing what could only be her purple Rescue armor. What’s strange about this photo is that while it without a doubt looks like Gwyneth Paltrow wearing her Iron Man-like armor, there hasn’t been a confirmed source for the photo. The picture doesn’t appear anywhere on her social media accounts (though some say it might have been deleted from her Instagram story).

It really raises some suspicions about how the photo was released and why. On Reddit, the original poster suggested that the photo was purposely leaked by Marvel during this downtime to make sure fans don’t forget about Marvel (cue the conspiracy theories.) But let’s be honest, fans will never forget about Marvel.

Regardless, if the picture happens to actually be from the set, it means Tony Stark will need some serious help from Pepper in Avengers 4. Tony either had the armor built beforehand so Pepper would be prepared in case of an emergency, or he will build the armor following the battle with Thanos so he’ll have an extra hand. Whatever the case, turning Pepper into Rescue probably isn’t something Tony wanted to do in the first place. We all know how protective he’s grown, and putting Pepper in harm’s way probably will be a hard choice he (or she) has to make.

Even though this leak is potentially spoiling a major twist for Avengers 4, it is cool to know that we can get some extra girl power going in the fight against Thanos. Paired with Captain Marvel, Rescue, Nebula, and the other remaining ladies are going to wage a war that should defeat Thanos for good.
