Chris Pine celebrates his 38th birthday after a fabulous year
Chris Pine entered the world on Aug. 26, 1980, and we’re thrilled to wish this talented Star Trek actor a very happy 38th birthday!
Chris Pine, happy birthday! We’re taking a look back at Pine’s amazing year, from beginning a new romance to stirring up enthusiasm for Wonder Woman 1984 to making a splash with his unique fashion.
Chris Pine proves that orange is the new superhero
Fans were delighted to see Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot and Chris stage a mini reunion at San Diego Comic-Con with director Patty Jenkins. As for his choice of fashion? Pine looked powerfully perky in his brighter-than-bright orange outfit.
Wonder Woman 1984
Much of the spotlight on Chris’ professional life this year has revolved around Wonder Woman 1984. Set to soar into theaters on Nov. 1, 2019, Wonder Woman 1984 will follow the adventures of Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince/Wonder Woman in 1980s Washington D.C. The warrior princess will be interacting with Pine’s Steve Trevor and Kristen Wiig’s Barbara Ann Minerva/Cheetah.
But if you’re thinking of heading off to D.C. to see if you can spy Chris and Gal filming, you might want to wait. The film has recently been shooting in London.
Romance in real life
To do justice to Chris Pine’s fabulous year, we have to include his new romance, as revealed by our calculations: Star Trek + The Mummy. An insider confirmed to People that Pine and The Mummy star Annabelle Wallis are dating.
Seen together at the Edible Land and Seascapes dinner in Malibu, California, Chris and Annabelle look “very comfortable together,” added the source. “It was pretty evident that they are a couple.”
Chris Pine has a Magic Mike pal
In addition to working on Wonder Woman 1984 and romancing his new girlfriend, Pine has a budding bromance with Magic Mike star Channing Tatum. The two were recently seen heading off on bikes for a ride and sipping java at La Colombe Coffee in D.C.
Chris skipped the bright orange for his outing with Channing, instead wearing bike shorts. The sighting got the rumor mill a-churnin’ with speculation that a cameo in the new Wonder Woman film could be in the cards. We vote “yes please.”
Outlaw King
Feeling you want to see more of Chris? Netflix is fulfilling your wish with Outlaw King. This drama features the birthday boy as the title character, Robert the Bruce. David Mackenzie directs the tale (based on real history) of a nobleman who gets Scotland to battle King Edward I and the Prince of Wales when England occupies Scotland.
Look for Chris to star in the Outlaw King on Netflix this autumn.
The movie also will enjoy a limited theatrical showing, expanding Pine’s opportunities to be nominated during awards season. But we already know he’s a winner! Happy birthday, Chris.
