7 reasons we love Gal Gadot aka Wonder Woman

Happy birthday Gal Gadot! Here are 7 reasons we admire this real-life Wonder Woman.

The Wonder Woman actress was born on April 30, 1985, and she’s become famed for her superhero success as well as her warmth and wit in the competitive entertainment industry.

How much do we love Gal? Let us count the ways.

1. Gal Gadot honors Lynda Carter’s role in superhero sisterhood

Gadot recently lauded Lynda Carter (the very first Wonder Woman) when Carter received her star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. Calling Lynda her “beloved beautiful” friend, Gal turned to Instagram to share the perfect tribute to her superhero sister.

2. She encourages young women to get fit

Using her fame for good, Gal Gadot has teamed up with Reebok to spread the word about the benefits of getting fit as a superhero. Gadot was modest in discussing her role model stature for young women.

“I believe that the more exposed young girls are to strong inspiring female role models, the better it is,” she said.

The actress is part of the Reebok “Be More Human” campaign.

3. She has a delightful sense of humor

When Gadot noticed that Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 2 superhero was striking a familiar pose, she didn’t hesitate to take aim at the actor. Ryan is seen crossing his arms in the trailer, and his stance looks suspiciously like Wonder Woman as played by Gadot.

“Dude stole my look!!” teased Gal on Twitter.

Of course, Reynolds had the perfect response.

“Imitation is the sincerest form of larceny,” he replied.

4. Gadot possesses a powerful past

Gal Gadot’s history even before she became Wonder Woman makes her a superhero. From hip-hop dancing to shooting hoops to taking home the Miss Israel crown, Gadot easily qualifies as heroic. Plus the actress was a combat instructor in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) — so she definitely knows how to throw down without the use of superpowers.

5. She is generous in sharing exactly how she sculpted her Wonder Woman body

If you’re frustrated with reading about fit celebrities who claim that they never set foot in a gym or insist that they live on chocolate cake, French fries, and unlimited goblets of wine, you’ll love Gadot’s honesty about what she went through to become a superhero.

This fitness role model (can we just call her the official “fitspo queen”?!) worked out six hours daily, doing everything from martial arts to riding horses and beyond. And forget the chocolate and wine: Gal sculpted her superhero body by focusing on protein and greens.

6. Gadot is one humble mom

When it comes to motherhood, Gadot doesn’t have any pretensions about being idolized by her kids. Gal told E News that at home, she’s just like any other mom rather than trying to have her youngsters view her as Wonder Woman.

“At the house I am the mother,” Gadot said. “I am not the star or the character or anything.”

7. Gadot rocks styles we can afford

While it’s sometimes fun to look at photos of celebrities in clothes we could never afford (unless we won the lottery), we long for stars who wear affordable attire. Gal Gadot has become a leader in combining designer clothes with inexpensive styles.

For example, when Gal stepped out on the red carpet for the Los Angeles Wonder Woman premiere, she dripped with jewels from Tiffany and wowed in a red frock by Givenchy. But those shoes that she wore were $50 Aldo Starda Sandals. Now that’s a real wonder.
