Fiona the hippo will captivate the world in her own Facebook show

Fiona the hippo has captured our hearts since her premature birth in January. Now we get to see all her baby hippo antics when she stars in her own show!
With so much bad stuff going on in the world, we need something good. And there’s nothing as pure and good in this world as a baby hippo. Now, we get to see Fiona the hippo take on the world.
The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden took to social media this week to announce that Fiona the hippo is getting her own show on Facebook. The “Fiona Show” will premiere on Aug. 29 and will have never-before-seen footage of the baby hippo’s birth.
“We always knew she was a star!” the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden wrote. “Now Fiona has her own show!”
The adorable trailer shows Fiona playing with the people at the zoo, learning to walk up a ramp, swimming with her parents, and more. It’ll make you squeal, for sure. Is there anything cuter than a baby hippo? No, there’s not.
It’s been a tough journey for the 30-week-old hippopotamus. Born six weeks premature on Jan. 24, Fiona weighed only 29 pounds. That’s just half of what a normal baby hippo weighs!
But as the months have gone by, we’ve watched this adorable fighter take her first steps, reunite with her parents Bibi and Henry, and grow to an impressive 451 pounds.
Not only is Fiona starring in her own show, but People reported that she’s also getting her own book. The Cincinnati Zoo and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Books for Young Readers are releasing a book all about Fiona in February 2019. It will cover Fiona’s early birth, how the zoo saved her, her life growing up into a normal hippo, and her amazing reunion with her parents.
The world needs a hero. And now it has Fiona. “This is an inspirational story of survival, of love, of struggle, of joy, and of hope,” the trailer for The Fiona Show says.
