How to Get Away with Murder: 3 Questions for Episode 12

As How to Get Away with Murder heads towards the end of its third season, we have some questions going into episode 12, “Go Cry Somewhere Else”.

Generally speaking, things have not improved on How to Get Away with Murder for anyone except maybe the police. After all, they now have both Annalise and Frank in custody, with the latter as a co-conspirator. (Not sure what we’re talking about? Check out the Culturess recap.) Unfortunately, our protagonists are, technically speaking, still Annalise Keating and the Keating Four (plus Oliver). However, will things get worse before they get better? Well, the answer is “probably”, but here are three questions we want to know the answers to for “Go Cry Somewhere Else“, this week’s episode.

Is Connor/Oliver alive as a couple?

On How to Get Away with Murder, there aren’t really any healthy relationships, not even the short-lived Wes & Laurel. However, Connor & Oliver together seemed about as healthy as it could be, until Connor’s guilt caught up with him. Last week, though, we saw the two of them seemingly get back together — or at least enough to spoon together on the couch. In fact, Oliver asked Connor not to let him go.

It was about the only bright spot in the episode, honestly.

Now that Oliver knows more about what Connor has been involved in, they may very well get back together. This will probably end badly, because we’re on a show that has murder literally in the title, but hopefully it will be good while it lasts.

Will Michaela snap?

Michaela channeled some combination of Don Vito Corleone and Annalise last week, as I noted in the above-linked recap, especially when she told Connor that he needed to hack the D.A.’s office. Seriously, it even left Asher looking vaguely worried about the whole thing. Granted, he gave her a massage later, but we’re not sure getting rid of the knots in her shoulders will help. She knows that the Keating Four (plus Oliver) and Annalise are all in trouble, and she looks like she wants to go down fighting.

However, the pressure may continue getting to her. If she continues trying to scramble, she may end up dooming everyone.

The Keating Four might become the Keating Three, too, especially if she continues fighting with Connor like that. She didn’t react well to Asher punching him in the face, but that may very well change.

Is Bonnie breaking under pressure?

Bonnie’s turn as Annalise’s lawyer has not gone well, to say the least. She didn’t manage to have bail set, Frank’s arrest didn’t result in freedom for Annalise, and she seems to be having difficulty with the pressure of it all. Yes, her boss insisted that she take the case.

Furthermore, Annalise isn’t handling things well, and that doesn’t appear to be helping Bonnie much either. With the police now closing in on everything that’s happened in the past few years, including the Hapstall case and Rebecca’s death, it’ll be harder and harder to avoid the D.A.’s office, Besides, A.D.A. Atwood doesn’t look like she’ll give up anytime soon.
