What Time Does the Kitten Bowl Start?

The Hallmark Channel has the “purr-fect“ lead-in for the Super Bowl – the adorable kittens of the Kitten Bowl! But what time does this must-see event start?

Super Bowl Sunday is one of the biggest entertainment days of the year. Millions of people gather around their televisions to cheer on their favorite team (or at least the one they hate the least), watch commercials and eat tons of food with questionable nutritional value. And Super Bowl Sunday has become such a big deal nowadays that the football is only part of it.

One of the cutest of these offerings is hands down the Kitten Bowl. This fearsome feline competition is entering its fourth year, and the Hallmark Channel is going all out to give viewers the most adorable game yet. You’ll be able to watch these cuddly kitties frolic, play, snooze and score all over their custom-made field. (And there’s even a halftime show called “Cirque du Paw-leil”. Beat that, Lady Gaga.)

But when does this all get under way? This year, Kitten Bowl IV kicks off at 12 p.m. ET.  So it’s a bit earlier than any other sporting event you might be planning on watching later. It’s also way more adorable, just saying.

Obviously, the best part about the Kitten Bowl is the intense cuteness all over your TV screen. But the second best part is that the event supports a good cause. The North Shore Adoption League sponsors Kitten Bowl Adoption Event Parties all over the country, helping to find forever homes for thousands of cats and kittens. If you just can’t wait for Super Bowl Sunday to watch adorable kittens being adorable, the Kitten Bowl’s official website has you covered. The site features a variety of preview clips of this year’s match-ups, as well as a live training cam, a photo gallery of all the 2017 contenders and clips from previous games.
