Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have Jane Fonda's seal of approval
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are one of Hollywood's cutest love stories. The couple began dating in 2002 after meeting on the set of Gigli. After a whirlwind romance, they became engaged and planned on marrying in September 2003.
However, the wedding was called off because of the media attention. Four months later in January 2004, the couple ended their engagement.
Two decades after their break up, Lopez and Affleck reunited. They married in July 2022 and became a blended family with Lopez's twins and Affleck's three kids from his marriage to Jennifer Garner.
Lopez and Affleck's relationship and reunion has captivated the public, and many people are rooting for the couple. One person who is showing their support is Hollywood icon Jane Fonda.

Fonda and Lopez became friends after co-starring in the 2005 comedy Monster-in-Law. The actresses got the chance to work together for Lopez's current movie This Is Me Now...A Love Story.
The two friends enjoyed catching up, and they filmed content for Lopez's documentary The Greatest Love Story Never Told. The documentary chronicles Lopez and Affleck's relationship journey. According to Variety, Fonda offered advice to Lopez regarding her husband.
"I want you to know that I don't entirely know why, but I feel invested in you and Ben, and I really want this to work. However, this is my concern. Like, it feels too much like you're trying to prove something instead of just living it. You know, every other photograph is the two of you kissing and the two of you hugging."
Lopez jokingly replied, "That's just us living our life."
Like many celeb couples, Lopez and Affleck's marriage has been plagued by divorce rumors. Fonda became worried after seeing Affleck's unhappy appearance at the 2023 Grammys.
"I got real scared, you know, with all that s*** about the Grammys and he looks unhappy and I'm like, 'Oh, my God, what's happening?'"
Lopez reassured Fonda that everything was fine with Affleck. "Nothing! He was like, 'I've become the symbol of the beleaguered man.'
