Diablo Cody and Zelda Williams raise the dead in anticipated horror-comedy Lisa Frankenstein

As a film favorite of the Critics Choice 2012 nominated film Young Adult, Diablo Cody is a recognizable name as a screenwriter with films such as Juno, Jennifer's Body, and her directorial 2013 film Paradise, but this time Cody serves as screenwriter and producer of rising filmmaker Zelda Williams’s directorial debut horror-comedy Lisa Frankenstein.

Although, the official teaser and main trailer leave a lasting taste to still chew on while dropping hints of the film’s synopsis about a misunderstood goth teenager (Kathryn Newton) and her high school crush, who happens to be a handsome corpse (Cole Sprouse). Both, the teaser and the trailer avoid any spoilers, after a set of playfully horrific circumstances bring him back to life, the two embark on a murderous journey to find love, happiness… and a few missing body parts along the way.

The excitement towards this film took place on social media with the drop of the first teaser last year avoiding any spoils regarding the plot but the highlight steer focused on Newton and Sprouse as a zombified corpse with the attention of Diablo Cody attached as the screenwriter of the film could be the reason for the anticipation towards this young adult love story with spin on the monster horror genre.

Given that the film is set for release close to Valentine's Day and features a stellar cast, there are sure to be a lot of people talking about it and sharing their thoughts on social media. That's why it was a no-brainer to include the trailer below as it's one of those trailers you can't help but watch as it's so bright and colorful.
