Mattel has been working toward being able to connect with people from all walks of life, and the Barbie Diwali doll is another example of that goal coming to fruition. This doll is an excellent representation of celebrating Diwali and could be a wonderful conversation starter for children who may be unfamiliar with the holiday but are interested in learning about it.

Representation in anything from dolls to television shows, movies, and books can help kids feel seen and acknowledged in the world as they try to understand their place or work toward the future of their dreams. Mattel recognizes the importance of that in their various dolls.

The Barbie Diwali doll can be purchased now on Mattel's website and major retailers. Prices may vary.
