Nongshim brings ramen and K-Culture to various NYC locations

Nongshim America knows how to put on a good time! The Korean ramen company showed up and showed out at multiple NYC venues including a pop-up at the Korean Cultural Center in New York City during Korean Restaurant Week. Ramen fans will envy the experiences that the noodle company had put on and if this sounds like something you want to learn more about, read on to find out the slurp-worthy details!
Korean Restaurant Week encouraged NYC-based customers to try Korean culinary delights and enjoy a 10% discount at twenty-six participating restaurants with a K-Culture Passport. From Oct. 28 - Nov. 7, participating restaurants included Bangia, BarBam, Barn Jo Nomad, New Wonjo, NUBIANI, Octo Restaurant, Pocha 32, Rib No.7, Samwoojung, Seoul Salon, Sojuhaus, Take 31, The Maze 32, The Kunjip, TOUS les JOURS, Turntable LP Bar & Karaoke, Yoon Haeundae GalbiBarn Joo 35, Barn Joo Union Square, Dons Bogam Wine Bar & BBQ, Sopo Korean Eats, Han Bat, Handsome Rice, Hojokban, Hyo Dong Gak, and KOBA Korean BBQ.
From Oct. 31- Nov. 1, there was also a free Food Truck pop-up that served over 1,000 Cup Noodles leading up to the event at the KCC, as well. The food truck offered complimentary samples of Korea’s favorite instant ramyun noodles to Washington Square Park, NOHO and Brooklyn DUMBO, and Times Square, KCCNY respectively. Visitors were able to enjoy different kinds of ramen with friends and family while experiencing K-Culture first-hand, In addition to the setup, there were over 2000 attendees during the course of the three-day event.
There was also a Han River event which lasted from Friday, Nov. 8 to Sunday, Nov. 10 starting at 11 AM to 5 PM at the Korean Cultural Center on 122 E. 32nd Street. Within the indoor set-up, there were immersive media walls which showcased the river as seen in many K-dramas and other Korean media. Culturess visited the event prior to its opening and was able to sample the ramen that was displayed in the event. Multiple visitors were sharing their curiosity at some classic flavors and some upcoming new flavors. The set-up of the event was also very open and made for a very warm and social-media friendly environment. It was definitely a sight to see if you live in the area and made for a great night out!
