6 Selena Gomez looks we loved in 2024

Starting from her humble Barney days, Selena Gomez has always been an icon. While she's iconic in many ways, her fashion has always been a highlight.

Thankfully, she attended a lot of different events this year and did a lot of press so she wore a lot of amazing looks. Aside from being a fashion queen, Selena Gomez shared a new relationship with all of us and ended 2024 by getting engaged to Benny Blanco. The two seem blissfully happy so this is something a lot of us are excited about. The same can be said about Selena's acting career as she returned to her roots with Wizards Beyond Waverly Place and her lead role on Only Murders in the Building.

While Emilia Perez hasn't been getting as much love, that doesn't seem to bother Gomez. If anything, the doubters make her a stronger performer. She's such a force of nature and a brilliant businesswoman to boot as Rare Beauty had another stellar year. Honestly, what can't Selena Gomez do? No matter how you feel about her, you can't deny just how great she was in 2024.

1. Selena Gomez's Wizards Beyond Waverly Place premiere look

Starting off strong is Selena's look from the Wizards Beyond Waverly Place premiere. Honestly, I've never really seen an outfit that looked like this yet Selena pulls it off. I think pairing the red sparkles with her complexion and dark hair just works. Her makeup is also incredibly simple and she isn't wearing a necklace so the dress can really shine. The dress also fits her perfectly so this one was an easy pick to put on the list.

2. Selena's look from the Annual Rare Impact Fund Benefit

Moving to the next look, the one that caught my eye was Selena's look for the Annual Rare Impact Fund Benefit Supporting Youth Mental Health. While it's somewhat hard to tell, the dress is almost a black-and-blue color. Paired with her strappy shoes and light jewelry, this outfit looks incredible on her. I feel like I say that about everyone, but I feel like Selena's stylist really nailed it this year.

3. Selena's Emmy Awards look

At this point, it feels incredibly unfair that I'm only picking 6 looks as Selena had so many great looks this year. With that being said, I adored her look for the Emmys. A simple black dress with that jeweled embellishment around her neck and chest just fits her so well. Coupled with the earrings, her gorgeous straight hair, and incredible makeup, this is easily one of my favorite Selena Gomez looks of all time.

4. Selena's Cannes Film Festival look

Selena Gomez wore this red number for the Cannes Film Festival and I feel like it's never gotten the love it deserved. However, it's one I remember seeing earlier this year and I loved when I saw it then as it's just so gorgeous. Honestly, Selena is already pretty enough but this dress takes it to the next level.

Of course, the floral details are the main focus of the dress but it doesn't take away from Selena. It works with the length of her hair, her jewelry, and makeup. The color was also perfect for spring and I've always adored it. Unfortunately, it was tough to find a full photo but the details on the top had to be shared.

5. Her AFI Awards look

This is another look of Selena's that doesn't get as much love as it should. She decided to go with a more formal look yet she looks youthful. With this black pin-striped suit, she pairs nicely with her co-stars while doing her own thing. The belt around her waist ties the entire look together. Paired with her gorgeous hoop earrings and her bob haircut, it looks so effortlessly cool.

6. Selena's Rare Beauty launch look

Last but not least, I wanted to go with another unconventional look and that's why I chose Selena's look from the launch of Rare Beauty's Find Comfort Body Collection. This time, she chose a white suit but made it sexy. Wearing a white blazer, she chose to pair it with a corset and then a vest, making it look stylish while still showing some skin. Coupled with her simple accessories which were silver, she knew the perfect balance being a boss and being a style icon which we love.

Overall, Selena Gomez had so many amazing looks in 2024, and no doubt she's going to have even more in 2025. Who else is thinking what her wedding dress is going to look like? Just me, but either way, this list was so much fun as Selena always shines no matter what she wears.
