Could Taylor Swift top the 2024 Fandoms of the Year list, too?
The Fandoms of the Year list for 2023 is here and it’s full of amazing fixtures within pop culture but one fandom stood above the rest. No surprise that Taylor Swift graced the top of the list.
Swift has truly been a queen in every sense of the word this year. From her Eras Tour to her re-releases to a fun new romance with Travis Kelce, you couldn’t move a muscle without seeing her somewhere.
Honestly, it’s been a great year to be a fan of the artist and musical icon. She’s truly brought new life into her music and made us remember times we likely have forgotten. Due to the ongoing love and popularity surrounding her, it does beg the big question.
Could 2024 be another huge year for Taylor Swift and will she top the Fandoms of the Year list once again?
Will Taylor Swift make it two-for-two as the Fandom of the Year?
If there is one person I could see making it as Fandom of the Year twice in a row, it’s Taylor Swift and there are plenty of good reasons. First, the Eras Tour is continuing into 2024 and is going to be another cultural phenomena. There’s going to be plenty of livestreams, clips shared online and lots of theories, floating around so that’s something Swifties are always known for and it won’t be any different in the new year.
In addition, Swift still has two more albums left to re-record from her original catalog which are her debut album: Taylor Swift and Reputation. Those are easily two of her most polarizing albums so I can see why she chose to re-record them last. However, these are no doubt going to usurp the original releases so she’s going to climbing up the charts once again.
Swift also has her very public relationship with Travis Kelce which fans are invested in. Aside from her personal life, she has such a thriving career that I’m excited to see next year holds for her. Of all the fandoms on the list, she’s someone I believe has the chance to go 2-for-2 as the top pick for Fandom of the Year.
