Eliza Taylor and Peter Gadiot added as Quantum Leap regulars

The 100′s Eliza Taylor and Yellowjackets‘ Peter Gadiot will have starring roles in the upcoming season 2 of NBC’s drama Quantum Leap. See the first looks at their characters by continuing!

Quantum Leap will be one of the handful of scripted shows broadcast during the SAG AFTRA and WGA strikes this year. Its season 2 premiere date will drop on October 4th and air on Paramount the next day.

The show’s narrative centers around a man named Ben Song (played by Raymond Lee) who takes an unintended trip to the past, and his team must figure out the mystery behind his travel. Season 2 will follow up on season 1’s finale, where Ben was transported to 2051.

What character will Eliza Taylor play in season 2 of Quantum Leap?

Eliza is set to portray a woman named Hannah Carson, who is a “complex young woman who may be more than she appears,” according to the official NBC description. In the preview photo shown below, Hannah reads what appears to be an old letter, and her fashion and hair are reflective of the 1940s period.

Eliza’s debut as Hannah will be in the third episode.

Eliza gained fame from the American audience as Clarke Griffin in the CW series The 100 from 2014 to 2020. In her home country of Australia, she’s known for her role in the soap drama Neighbours. Following her tenure on The 100, she starred in her own produced movie, It Only Takes A Night, and the thriller, I’ll Be Watching.

Quantum Leap will be her second comeback to television after playing an alien in Seth MacFarlane’s sci-fi comedy, The Orville.

What character will Peter Gadiot play in season 2 of Quantum Leap?

Peter will play Tom Westfall, and again, according to the NBC description of his character, “he is a former special forces soldier and a high-ranking US Army Officer in the realm of Army Intelligence,” the description reads. “Thoughtful, centered, a spiritual kind of warrior who both men and women admire, but whose humility keeps him from ever being arrogant. Tom will take on a crucial role [in] overseeing the project.”

Before his casting, Peter starred in several hit TV series, including ABC’s Once Upon A Time, Yellowjackets on Showtime, and the USA drama Queen of the South.

Quantum Leap season 2 will premiere on October 4th on NBC and will be available to stream the next day on Paramount. The news was first reported by Variety.
