Try this Golden Girls readathon for spooky season 2022

Being a Golden Girls fan is a lot of fun. It can also be terrifying especially if you’re trying to marathon the entire series.

One thing you might not realize though is Golden Girls never had a Halloween episode. It seems unbelievable now but in a way, the ladies probably weren’t celebrating Halloween. However, if anyone in the house did, it would be Blanche.

If you’re looking for a way to celebrate both Halloween and the Golden Girls, then look no further than the upcoming Golden Girls Murder Mystery readathon. As someone who loves the Golden Girls and reading, then this one is up my alley.

Maybe a few other fans will want to join or even just take a look. Even if you don’t, at least you’ll have an idea for the next round of the readathon.

This Golden Girls readathon will jazz up your October TBR.

Each round usually has a theme and this one is no exception. Poised as a “Murder Mystery” round,” there is a lot to unpack. If you’re looking for all of the information you need to know, you can watch Rachael’s video below.

In the video, she goes into a lot of detail and tells you everything you need to know. However, I figured it’d only be right to get into the bare-bones details. As evidenced by the title of the video, it’s Round 11 of the Golden Girls readathon and it’s a “murder-mystery” game. In the video, she goes into the prompts but on the website, you can find an actual card to look at which is so aesthetically pleasing.

This round will go from October 7th until October 23rd but not the entirety of the day. On the 23rd, there will be a live show at 12:00 pm EST in which the solution will be shared. Essentially if you complete all of the prompts, you will have “won.” Basically, as you read and find a book to fit a prompt, that will serve as your guess for each round.

Personally, I’m just a huge Golden Girls lover and a reader so I knew I had to participate. Plus the last few rounds I’ve participated in have been a lot of fun and gave me some new favorites or gave me a reason to read out of my comfort zone. This round, I’m going for a mixture of some witchy romance books and some slasher novels, talk about a wacky combination. Either way, I knew I had to make sure my fellow Golden Girls lovers and readers alike knew about this unique readathon.
