When it comes to the upcoming Aquaman sequel, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, there is a lot of anticipation and even a lot of questions. Among the questions that we have are which members of the Justice League will be stopping by for an assist.

Will Clark Kent/Superman be showing up to lend his strength to the king of the seas? Or will it be our boy Bruce Wayne/Batman who shows up with his gadgets, gizmos, and money? Maybe Diana Prince/Wonder Woman herself will arrive to help with saving the day. (Honestly, we don’t necessarily think Arthur Curry needs his super friends to swoop in to save the day, but maybe a little help wouldn’t hurt.)

Well, based on an Instagram post (that was actually super adorable), it looks like we at least have the answer to one of those questions. And that answer we got? Well, it turns out that Batman (or Batffleck if you will) will be showing up in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

Jason Momoa reveals that Batman will be popping up in the Aquaman sequel

According to The Hollywood Reporter,

"Momoa revealed the news on Instagram on Thursday, after fans on a Warner Bros. bus tour apparently caught wind that Affleck was there filming with him."

That’s right! The only reason this news was confirmed at all was that fans caught them on set together. (Thank you tour bus fans for actually paying attention on the Warner Bros. lot tour!)

In the caption of the post, which shows Ben Affleck dressed the way we would expect Bruce Wayne to walk around, Momoa shared, “REUNITED bruce and arthur. love u and miss u, Ben.” He mentioned them being busted by the tour with, “busted on set all great things coming AQUAMAN 2.”

Now maybe it’s me, but this is exciting news. While we all have our favorite Batman, I don’t think Affleck was given nearly enough credit for bringing the tortured hero to life. And the fact that we are getting more of his Bruce Wayne/Batman means more people will get a chance to appreciate the way he brought the character to life.

But what do you think of this news? Is this exciting for you? Are you surprised by the fact that Batman will be showing up in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom?
