Hulu highlights to watch during the July 29th weekend

Not Okay -- “Not Okay” follows Danni Sanders (Zoey Deutch), an aimless aspiring writer with no friends, no romantic prospects and — worst of all — no followers, who fakes an Instagram-friendly trip to Paris in the hopes of boosting her social media clout. When a terrifying incident strikes the City of Lights, Danni unwittingly falls into a lie bigger than she ever imagined. She "returns" a hero, even striking up an unlikely friendship with Rowan (Mia Isaac), a school-shooting survivor dedicated to societal change, and scooping up the man of her dreams, Colin (Dylan O'Brien). As an influencer and advocate, Danni finally has the life and audience she always wanted. But it’s only a matter of time before the facade cracks, and she learns the hard way that the Internet loves a takedown.Danni (Zoey Deutch) and Colin (Dylan O'Brien), shown. It’s hard to believe that July is almost over. Thankfully, you still have a few more days to marathon something on Hulu.

While it might not be everyone’s first choice, the streaming service is pretty solid when there are no ads involved. Even if you have ads, it’s still a great way to watch TV if you’ve cut the cord or just hate watching your favorite shows with commercials.

Regardless, this final full week in July is adding a handful of new projects to watch including some originals as well as some movies. If you’re baking in the summer heat, then let some TV shows and movies cool you off.

Let’s get into the Hulu highlights from July 23 until July 29.

These new Hulu releases are perfect for the final weekend in July.

As with the last few weeks, the platform isn’t overwhelming us with releases so it’s easier to list all of them off. Sometimes if Hulu releases a ton at once, it can be a lot to try and keep track of which is where Hulu highlights come in.

No highlights this week so let’s get into the releases from July 23rd until July 29th.

  • Topside (July 24)
  • King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (July 25)
  • Santa Evita: Complete Limited Series Premiere (July 26)
  • Not Okay (July 29)
  • The Americans, Complete Series (July 29)
  • Hatching (July 29)

As you can see the releases to cap off July are pretty slim. Regardless, the additions of two Hulu originals in Santa Evita and Not Okay might be exactly what you need to perk up your weekend. Plus Not Okay features Dylan O’Brien and honestly, what more could you ask for when it comes to a movie?

Of all the releases though, Not Okay is high on my list for the weekend. As I said, it features Dylan O’Brien so you really can’t go wrong.
