Six seasons, almost twenty characters, and we still want more. It was almost ten years that MTV’s hit series Teen Wolf ran on air, and Scott McCall and friends are back for a reunion movie – and more. The Wolf Pack is back with Tyler Posey, Holland Roden, Crystal Reed, Shelley Hennig, and Tyler Hoechlin. This is what we learned from the 2022 Teen Wolf: The Movie San Diego Comic-Con panel. The film is set to release later this year on Paramount+.

What can we expect from the Teen Wolf reunion movie?

Eli Hale, Derek’s son, is taking on the role of the “hero” of the movie. While it picks up right after the end of the last season, it also starts with a time jump. Scott is now found in Los Angeles instead of the town of Beacon Hills, attempting to live a normal life living as a 50-year-old.

However, one thing that has not changed is his affection for Allison, which fans will be excited to know is actually making a return. While it was not described how, Posey said about the return in relation to his and Crystal Reed’s on-screen relationship: “It f*cking rocks his world, dude.”

Jeff Davis, the series’ creator also stressed during the panel that while he had interest in bringing the cast together again, with much of a campaign from Typer Posey, he did not want to make another season. When writing the script however, he felt he had created “a short season seven” and he was okay with that because he wanted to make sure every character had a proper ending.

For those two characters we are also worried about – don’t worry. Even though Dylan O’Brien will not make an appearance in the film, his character and the popular “Stydia” storyline will be addressed. He said: “The movie does answer the question of what happened to ‘Stydia,’ so you’re going to have to watch. And Stiles, while he isn’t in the movie, is ever present in the movie. These characters all leave an influence so there’s no way we could have done it without mentioning him or at least referencing, but all the other characters are there too. You’ll see some familiar faces”.

Teen Wolf will also have a spin-off series that is set to premiere after the movie starring Sarah Michelle Gellar. While there is also no release date for the spin-off series, it is safe to say Teen Wolf is here to stay!
