No matter the age, no matter the era, it is common knowledge that Ciara is a face that has lived in music for years. But now, after two years without releasing any singles, the songstress is back with new music. Ciara signals the start of her new music era with the release of the song “Jump”.  Here is everything you need to know about it and her return.

Ciara is jumping back into music.

“Jump” carries the dance vibrations that Ciara is popular for. The mid-tempo track will immediately bring back fans to the times when songs like  “Goodies” and “Lose Control” were everything that was playing on the radio.

The music video also shows a Ciara we all know and love with choreography, fashionable outfits, and energy that is through the roof – quite literally – as she dances through moving trains, power lines, and more.  It also features 14 outfit changes for the pop star!

It is the first single from her upcoming album, which marks the eighth album in her career. It is her first music release after her new contract with Republic Records and Uptown Records took place. “Jump” also marks the partnership between her record label and her company Beauty Marks Entertainment.

In an Instagram post about the new single she said:

"“I’m back on my mission to make the world dance! JUMP is OUT NOW. “I wanna see you… Jump into the new YOU. Jump into LOVE (Loving on you:)) Jump into FUN. Jump into DANCE. What you waiting for?”"

The song release comes after multiple artists have begun to release their summer singles and make a return to music. Most recently, Beyonce, who released “Break my Soul” in anticipation of her seventh studio album Renaissance,  began making a splash in pop music. The release made  Beyoncé the first woman to attain at least 20 top 10 records as a solo artist.

Here’s to a great summer of music!
