The Kitten Bowl finds a new home at GAC in 2023

The Kitten Bowl, which has been sadly canceled this year by the Hallmark channel, will return in 2023 thanks to its new home on the GAC network.

The popular special, which cultivated a fan following in its eight years at Hallmark, as well as finding new homes for more than 75, 000 animals, will be moved to GAC Media.  Along with the transition, The Kitten Bowl will have a title revamp, called the Great American Rescue Bowl.

Set to premiere on Super Bowl Sunday, February 12th, 2023, the event will not only be kitten exclusive but cats, dogs, and puppies will be added into the festivities and will come from nationwide shelters.  This way, there’ll be even more chances for the animals to be adopted.

Bill Abbott, GAC Media’s CEO, and former Crown Media CEO is excited about the Great American Rescue Bowl’s potential and revealed to Variety about including it in the lineup.

The North Shore Animal League will continue its partnership with the event, as it has helped rescue animals and benefit their lives.  With GAC, the nonprofit is exciting to further pursue adoptions and awareness.

Earlier this week, Hallmark Channel canceled and dropped the Kitten Bowl from its programming.  Understandably, fans were furious regarding the decision.  With the 2023 return, the Great American Rescue League holds promise to become something better for everyone.
