TikTok dances on our television screen? Maybe you’re a fan of the platform. Maybe you don’t understand its existence. But the platform that gave you Squid Game and a platter of your favorite shows and movies will give you a reality show based on one of those most popular influencer houses that existed – sort of. Did I lose you? It’s ok. You’ll find the show on Netflix on January 7, 2022. Here is what you need to know.

Netflix will debut its TikTok reality show titled Hype House.

The content collective was founded in December 2019 by influencers Daisy Keech, Chase Hudson, and Thomas Petrou. While the collective all lived together in a home that once housed TikTok heavyweights like Addison Rae, the show will solely focus on its current members.

Those members include  Larri Merrit, Nikita Dragun, LILHUDDY, Alex Warren, Thomas Petrou, Vinnie Hacker, Kouvr Annon, Mia Hayward, Ryland Storms, Michael Sanzone, Calvin Golby, Patrick Huston, and Connor Yates.

The house has had its fair share of members and controversy. After the show was first announced in April 2021 and was in development since 2020.

While there is no news as far as the reason for the delay, Netflix has released a synopsis for the season along with its season trailer.

What to expect:

"“From humble beginnings to overnight fame, these are the stories of the most popular personalities on social media as they come into their own, fall in love and tackle the next stage of their lives.”"

Although they are the first show of its kind to be released on Netflix, the D’Amelio sisters also released their reality show on Hulu earlier in 2021. The show focused on their struggles with mental health. It was met with success and the announcement of renewal by Hulu for a second season.

We hope for the same type of future for Hype House. For now, here is the official trailer.
