You can’t control who you fall in love with.

The trailer for Binge TV Australia’s new romantic drama, Love Me is officially here and the heart is melting at the performances of the cast and its narrative.  The six-episode miniseries is the first exclusive for the Australian streamer and features a host of Australia’s finest talent.

Filmed in Melbourne and its surrounding suburbs, Love Me explores and highlights love and relationships during different life chapters of three family members.  Clara (Bojana Novakovic) is at a turning point as her 40th birthday is approaching, and while her career as a nurse is rewarding, her romantic life could use an uplift.

When she meets Peter (Bob Morley), a fashion model who is also a single father, Clara gets that uplift she has been yearning for.  Yet, like all relationships, hers and Peter’s seems to hit a snag, but will their love hold?

Or will it just be a whirlwind and crushing?

Co-starring alongside Morley and Novakovic is veteran actor Hugo Weaving.  Weaving will portray Glen, the father of Clara and Aaron (William Lodder).  Just like his children, he too will try to find romance, and reflective of his children, seeking love will have its challenges.

Moreso, the multi-faceted Weaving shared his Love Me experience and just how warming the miniseries is:

“LOVE ME is a wonderful celebration of family, love, and personal liberation set in contemporary Melbourne. I hugely enjoyed playing the dutiful, recessive Glen Mathieson, father to Clara and Aaron, as he finds himself navigating a course through grief into the excitement of an unexpected and transformative love. Working with Director Emma Freeman was an absolute delight.”

Binge TV Australia also released Love Me‘s synopsis, which is as follows:

"The Mathieson’s, Clara (30s), Glen (60s), and Aaron (20s), find themselves at an emotional crossroads following an unexpected event that changes their lives forever. In an era when the world is driven by conflict, LOVE ME is a call to the heart – a funny, sophisticated, heartfelt exploration of love in all its forms. More significantly, it’s a timely reminder that we’re all as inadequate and remarkable as each other. –Binge TV Australia"

The emotionally-packed trailer will bring your own heart to a beat.

And last, but not least, the key art for the series:

Love Me is inspired by the Swedish drama Alska Mig and directed by renowned Australian director Emma Freeman, with writing by Alison Bell, Leon Ford, Adele Vuko, and Blake Ayshford respectively.  It was produced by Warner Bros. International Productions in Australia and Aquarius Films for the Foxtel Group.  The drama will be available to stream on December 26th with all six episodes on Binge TV Australia.

For those living outside of Australia, potential viewers may have to wait for a while until streamers get licensing rights, but here is to hoping that will happen soon.
