Recently, Harry Styles launched his very own line of skin and nail products under his beauty brand, Pleasing. It’s a curated collection that is gaining a lot of attention. And not just with women!
According to a press email we received, it seems that the site LookFantastic has seen an increase in searches for Styles’ brand over 400 percent! And that’s not all, as there has also been an increase of 457 percent in searches just in “male manicure designs.” Add in the increased searching for “easy mail nail art” at a whopping 3,329 percent, and it is clear that men are about to go all out with their hands.
Considering how often the singer/actor has shown off his well-maintained and even decorated nails, it does make sense that people are on the hunt for manicures for men. And while Harry Styles is certainly not the first mail star to paint his nails or take his manicure to the next level, these search numbers alone are enough to have us thinking that maybe this is a trend that is sticking around.
So what exactly are the top nail trends for men?
The search for male nail art and manicures is on the rise thanks to Harry Styles
According to research on Google which LookFantastic shared, four trends are topping the list for men looking to take their nail game to the next level.
At the top of the list is a classic – painted black nails. It’s truly a more traditional and classic look. So this one is not that big of a surprise. And searches for this trend have increased by over 700 percent, so this is a popular choice.
The second most popular trend for male nails is smiley faces. And while this may seem like the exact opposite, the “dead smiley face nails” are added to this trend as well.
In the third spot for popular trends for men, we have flame nails. And honestly, this is a cool look whether male or female.
For the fourth most popular trend, we once again turn to a look that Harry Styles has shown off a time or two, and that is the pastel nails look. And since he has his polishes in pearlescent and pastel shades, it does make sense that people might be on the hunt for this.
Considering we love Harry Styles and everything he brings to the table as an entertainer and influencer, it’s hard to deny that this is an interesting trend to follow. And I know I love to see it and seeing more men express themselves with one of my guilty pleasures – MANICURES!
What do you think Culturess readers? How do we feel about this trend? Do we want to see more men embracing manicures? We want to know your thoughts.
