Girl power: Kourtney Kardashian proves love comes on your own terms
Kourtney Kardashian has found love on her terms.
Fans have watched her on Keeping up with the Kardashians for years. Kourtney was the “cool mom” who had an on and off-again relationship with Scott Disick and raised a family with him along the way. She showed it was ok to be a single mom but also chronicled their relationship struggles openly for fans. Many rooted for the two to have a happy ending. When she started dating her neighbor Travis Barker, it was quite unexpected. Now the 42-year-old will finally have her happy ending.
Why is Travis Barker “the one” for Kourtney Kardashian?
Everything should be easy. Challenges push growth but when things are easy, they make the process more enjoyable. For years and much of the run of Keeping up with Kardashians, Kourtney was faced with infidelity rumors against Scott and struggles with Scott’s sobriety. While Scott was and continues to be a fan favorite, Kourtney played a “motherly role” for Scott in many ways.
When Kourtney finally found, after years of being told by critics she should be with the father of her children, or that she would not be able to find it at 40, she found it on her terms. Throughout these years, Scott was also dating celebrity influencers on the reality show and in the spotlight. While Kourtney was also doing the same, Kourtney was always public in stating she wanted something long-term
Her comments in the past were the following:
"“Kourtney tells him if he wants her back, he needs to show how much he’s changed. But instead, he’s out partying at Coachella and will complain to his guy friends about how many rules Kourtney imposes on him,” a source told Page Six at the time. “She’s made comments to her family about how his behavior [with money and partying] is exactly why she never married him.”"
Now, she has found love by thinking about herself and herself only.
