It’s beginning to look a lot like Countdown to Christmas 2021 as Hallmark previews 10 of the 41 all-new holiday movies coming to the Countdown to Christmas lineup this season. The exclusive preview in Entertainment Weekly revealed that some of this year’s highlights include several reunions and a few sequels.

Danica McKellar will team up with her Wonder Years co-star Jason Hervey for You, Me & The Christmas Trees, while Lea Thomson and Christopher Lloyd will have a Back to the Future reunion in Next Stop, Christmas.

Several beloved Hallmark Channel movies are getting the sequel treatment including The Christmas House 2: Deck Those Halls (working title) and The Nine Kittens of Christmas.

The Christmas House (2020) is a very important movie for Crown Media, as the film is the first to prominently depict a same-sex couple. The movie landed a GLAAD nomination for its work to increase inclusivity and representation on television. The new movie sees most of the original cast returning, including Robert Buckley, Ana Ayora, Jonathan Bennett, Sharon Lawrence, Treat Williams, Brad Harder and this time around the Mitchell brothers compete for the best Christmas decorations.

The Nine Kittens of Christmas is a follow-up to the 2014 holiday movie The Nine Lives of Christmas starring Brandon Routh and Kimberley Sustad. The movie featured a vet student and a fireman who come together during the holidays thanks to some help from their feline friends.

Several Hallmark Channel stars will return to the snowy landscape of the holiday lineup with new movies from fan favorite actors like Candace Cameron Bure, Lacey Chabert, Holly Robinson-Peete, Allison Sweeney, Steve Lund, Ryan Paevey and Tyler Hynes.
