It’s a Wonder Years reunion on the Hallmark Channel as Danica McKellar teams up with her former co-star Jason Hervey in an all new Christmas movie. You, Me & The Christmas Trees will kick off Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas 2021 celebration on Friday, October 22.

McKellar starred as Winnie Cooper, the objet d’amour of young Kevin Arnold (Fred Savage) on the beloved TV coming of age drama. Hervey played Kevin’s older brother Wayne on the series.

While Wayne and Winnie didn’t share too many scenes back in the day, they are very good friends in real life and she’s thrilled to star with him in a brand-new Christmas movie.

McKellar posted the news on her social media following the announcement from Entertainment Weekly.

“I can finally tell you that my Christmas movie this year is called You, Me & The Christmas Tree,” she wrote. The movie also stars Benjamin Ayres.

Speaking of Hervey, McKellar continued, “In real life, we’re good friends, like family. It was so much fun to work together.

Here’s the synopsis provided to EW by Hallmark:

"Olivia is Connecticut’s resident expert on evergreens who, just days before the holiday, agrees to help Jack, a fourth generation Christmas tree farmer in Avon. A mysterious illness has befallen their firs, causing them to die out and threatening his family’s 100-year business. As Olivia tries to get to the root of the problem and extends her stay in town, she and Jack spend more time together and feelings begin to develop."

Every holiday season Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries become home to new movies every weekend leading up to Christmas. What started as a way to get in the holiday spirit has turned into a full-fledged tradition for many fans who eagerly await the Countdown to Christmas, where many beloved Hallmark stars appear in films that become instant classics.
