Stargirl and the rest of the Justice Society of America (JSA) are back in action for season 2, but for Courtney, it is all about summer school.

After everything that happened in season 1 and a whole new Justice Society forming and most of the Injustice Society of America (ISA) being defeated, we didn’t really know what to expect when season 2 of Stargirl returned. However, what we got was drama, attacking a classmate, Courtney being obsessed with her role as a superhero to the detriment of everything else, a family trip canceled, and summer school.

For this series’ second season, we are heading to Summer School. And we are not even a little surprised.

We love Courtney and her friends but at this point, these guys need to get it together. They are still not processing everything that happened at the end of the last season and Courtney has become so obsessed with the idea of bad guys around every corner that she failed two of her classes and even destroyed the family home.

Stargirl is heading to summer school and Courtney needs to relax

I’m really stuck on the idea of summer school for Courtney, but the thing about that is that she needs to disconnect from being Stargirl and she doesn’t want to. She is almost alienating others because of her new obsession.

The bad thing is, she isn’t actually wrong. By the end of the episode, we know that a new Injustice Society is about to be formed by none other than Cindy Burman. And since the rest of the Justice Society is pretty much convinced that Cindy isn’t going to be a problem, we already know this is going to cause even more issues and drama.

Courtney is never going to learn balance in her life if this new Injustice Society does pop up as quickly as I expect it will. And it looks like she has even more problems on her hands, including the fact that the ISA wants to recruit her stepbrother.

Summer School is about to get interesting, and it doesn’t seem like Courtney is going to get a chance to learn balance. But she definitely needs it.
