Midnight Mass teaser hints that the horror isn’t always supernatural in nature
We finally have an official teaser for the upcoming Netflix supernatural horror series, Midnight Mass, from Mike Flanagan. And that’s not all, as we also have a note from Flanagan about this series and what we can expect, plus there is a premiere date.
Basically, we finally have something to work with in terms of this new limited series. And much like The Haunting series and even American Horror Story, it sounds like Midnight Mass could be giving us a whole new anthology series to fall in love with.
In the teaser from Netflix, we see an island that seems to be haunted by something awful. From a dead cat on the beach (that looks like it was scared to death) to what looks like the ghost of a dead girl with blood on her face, Midnight Mass looks to be equal parts psychological thriller and supernatural horror.
Throw in a mysterious priest who is apparently new to this island, and we have a recipe for a horror that is just as much rooted in real people as it is in something supernatural. And it may just prove that sometimes the horror we face has nothing to do with ghosts and spirits.
With the teaser hinting at a new horror to sink our teeth into, when does Midnight Mass arrive on Netflix?
After watching the trailer, we finally have an idea of when we can dive into the horror of Crockett Island. So when will the new limited series premiere?
According to Deadline, we can expect to see Midnight Mass on Netflix starting on September 24. And much like previous series on the streamer, the entire season will release on Sept. 24, which means we can binge-watch all seven episodes in one sitting!
