Even though the summer heat has not disappeared, the countdown to Halloween Horror Nights 30 has a few people starting to sleep with the lights on. With two more recent house reveals, everyone is wondering, what sinister secrets does Universal Orlando have in store to terrify its guests.

While Halloween Horror Nights 30 is a little more than a month away, the final roster of haunted houses and scare zones have yet to be finalized. Although many theme park fans love to speculate on the possibilities, the empty spots are becoming fewer and fewer. What other tricks could be coming?

Although the announcement of The Haunting of Hill House was the huge announcement for HHN30, Universal Orlando snuck in two other announcements recently. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre house is part of the lineup.

Having made an appearance in 2016, it seems that Leatherface is back again. This announcement seems to add that touch of nostalgia to the event. Although not a classic Universal Monster, this horror character and genre offer a lot of possibilities. And, for anyone who remembers the chainsaw-wielding clowns from years past, there is nothing more terrifying than that chainsaw sound to make you scream and jump.

When the Texas Chainsaw Massacre announcement was revealed, Universal Orlando also confirmed that the Bride of Frankenstein will be raised once again. A similar house was open last year during the limited Halloween event. It is unclear whether the haunted house has been completely redesigned or if aspects of the previous offering have remained intact. In either case, this classic Universal Monsters offering will be a must-see.

Other confirmations have been shared previously. Beetlejuice is going to be a featured house. Given that a sneak peek was offered for just three days last year, many people will have this offering as a top choice.

Also, in 2020 Puppet Theatre: Captive Audience was confirmed. Everyone knows that puppets are beyond creepy. This one might give you nightmares for months after a visit. Additionally, it is presumed that the Revenge of the Tooth Fairy will return. That sweet fairy tale has a most twisted interpretation.

Given that this year’s event represents 30 years, there is a strong belief that HHN Icons will be featured in a house. Everyone knows that Jack is back, but what other menacing characters will join him. From Chance to The Undertaker, there are many characters that could be lurking in those twisted walkways.

Although much thought has been given to the houses, the scare zones are often the most entertaining areas for guests. While the scare actors are always ready to get people to jump, the reality is that these areas make for the best people-watching.

Given that the scare zones invite people to linger (if they so choose), the details and storylines are vital to the whole Halloween Horror Night 30 experience. Most likely, there will be a nod to the 30th anniversary.

In addition to that concept, some people are speculating that Shudder, the horror streaming network, will be included in some way. This idea would make many people extremely excited.

Lastly, an original concept should be expected. Similar to the Vikings story that was well received in 2019, the area over by the Media Center is always perfect for a fully immersive experience.
