When it comes to unique TV shows, Syfy often delivers. And their latest offering, SurrealEstate, might just be our new favorite thing.

So what is it about this new series that has us ready for the premiere on July 16? Honestly, there are multiple answers to this question.

Not only do we get to see Tim Rozon back on our screens after the end of Schitt’s Creek (we missed you Mutt!), but this is also an amazing series for those of us who love ghost stories and house flipping shows. This is like HGTV meets American Horror Story and The Haunting of Hill House. It’s ghosts and real estate.

And if that doesn’t scream must watch, I don’t know what does. Then again, the name of the show is SurrealEstate, and that feels rather fitting too.

Is SurrealEstate worth watching?

While we have not seen a lot about this series, beyond the trailer itself, we are here for the ghosts, the metaphysical, and the fact that this is a group of realtors dealing with both the paranormal and the real people who want to buy and sell homes.

There is something to be said for the way Syfy is leaning into our love of HGTV programming and buying and selling homes and then giving it a paranormal twist. From what we can see, this series looks like it will be just as much the fun of real estate flipping as it is ghost hunting.

Of course, the fact that Rozon is the lead of the series or at the very least the owner of the real estate agency is a big draw too. And finding out that he can apparently sense the ghosts in these homes and even commune with them in some way was the detail that sealed the deal. Seriously, this series sounds so good. (It also sounds ridiculous, but I am totally here for that too.)
