Our first tease for Roswell New Mexico Season 3 on The CW is here and it is exactly that – a tease. We don’t really learn much, but we still have questions.

By the end of Season 2, we knew a lot more about the aliens and even the ones we barely met in 1948, but there was one character whose sinister arrival spelled trouble for our group, especially Max. Mr. Jones as he is called in the series is an alien stowaway who looks exactly like Max, but with a beard and an attitude that proves that he is definitely not the do-gooder we know and love.

But the problem we have is that is all we know. And the teaser doesn’t really add much more to that, except to hint at the idea that Max knows exactly who Mr. Jones is. And maybe he does subconsciously, after all, Max doesn’t exactly remember his childhood anymore than the other aliens do.

If there is one thing we can be sure of, it is that Mr. Jones is about to wreak havoc on Roswell and in particular on Max’s life. (We have seen The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, we know how troublesome dopplegangers can be!)

Roswell is setting Season 3 up to be drama and trouble for the aliens

And while I certainly think Max is in for a rough ride in Roswell Season 3, I don’t think he is alone. In fact, it seems like Mr. Jones is about to be a problem for everyone, including Michael and Isobel, which makes sense since the very foundation of this series is relationships and family. So when one person is in trouble, everyone is in trouble.

This tease may not have revealed much to go off of in terms of what we can expect heading into Season 3, but it was enough to remind us that things were not going so well for our alien family at the end of the second season and it doesn’t look like it is going to get any better.
