Netflix has been giving us new content week after week and that means plenty of new things to watch! For April, we have fun new movies from the platform as well as some shows to keep us all entertained.

The splashy new adaptation of Leigh Bardugo’s fantasy series Shadow and Bone arrives this month, which follows the story of a young girl who discovers a powerful ability to control light that may be the salvation of her kingdom.

Thunder Force is also heading to Netflix in April starring Octavia Spencer and Melissa McCarthy. Set in a superhero-less world where two old friends must become superheroes to take on the villains of the world, Thunder Force is a perfect comedy to keep you laughing.

Concrete Cowboy is also coming to the streaming giant this April. When a young boy is sent to live with his estranged father for the summer, he has to figure out himself and forge a kinship with the Black cowboys of Philadelphia. Starring Caleb McLaughlin, Idris Elba, and more, it looks like an exciting time!

There’s also the new Anna Kendrick movie Stowaway. The space flick features a crew heading to Mars when they discover that a man has stowed himself away on their trip. Without the resources to keep another human being on board, they have to decide the best course of action that will keep everyone safe.

Netflix not only has great movies but a constant stream of original programming or shows we know and love like Community and more. There’s plenty for everyone to enjoy!
