Few Doctor Who characters have been as instantly memorable as Michelle Gomez’s iconic take on the franchise’s first female Master. Known as Missy, everything about her was practically perfect in every way, from her Mary Poppins-inspired sartorial choices to her messy and complicated relationship with Peter Capaldi’s Twelfth Doctor.

Gomez departed the show alongside Capaldi back at the end of season 10, and a new Master (who is once again male, and now played by Sacha Dhawan) has joined the series for Jodie Whittaker’s run. But there’s good news to be had for those who are missing our favorite chaotic Time Lady: Missy will be getting her own Doctor Who comic this spring!

Titan Comics announced the launch of the brand new comic series Missy will take place in April, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Master’s first appearance on television.

The official synopsis describes an adventure that will not only include multiple Masters, but multiple Doctors as well.

"Missy wages war on the Doctor, but this time she’s not alone! Can the combined brilliance of the Third and Twelfth Doctor avert her deadly scheme, or will she get her hands on a secret weapon capable of wreaking havoc on the universe?"

Missy comes from writer Jody Houser, illustrator Roberta Ingranat, and colorist Enrica Angiolini.

“I wrote a few pages of Missy way back in The Road to Thirteen, and I’ve been dying to write more of her ever since,” Hauser said in a statement. Her ineffable cunning and sense of fun make her the most delightful sort of monster.”

The first issue features a cover by David Busian alongside three special variant covers, including one by Claudia Caranfa, which you can view below.

The final one is certainly my personal favorite, as it mixes my favorite Doctor/Master pairings with the man who is probably the most iconic to ever hold the role. Whew.
