Bridgerton season two may not be confirmed, but we already have a laundry list of things we’d like to see in a second installment.

Warning: This article contains spoilers for season one of Bridgerton.

Netflix’s Bridgerton seems to be the series everyone is talking about these days, and its popularity makes perfect sense, since it’s basically a mix of Pride and Prejudice and Gossip Girl.

Although season two of the show has yet to be confirmed, it’s pretty clear fans would eat up any new episodes of this historical romance — and Regé-Jean Page, who plays Simon, even announced that he’d be willing to come back while speaking with Oprah Magazine.

If this 19th-century drama is renewed for another outing by Netflix, here are a few things it should try to accomplish.

Eloise finds out who Lady Whistledown is

It was a pleasant surprise that the identity of Lady Whistledown was revealed so soon, but after seeing Gossip Girl, it wasn’t that shocking of a twist.

Viewers are left to wonder if Eloise knows who Lady Whistledown is after she shouts “It’s a trap,” and whether or not the knowledge would put a strain on their relationship. It’s also a mystery how many characters on the show are aware Lady Whistledown’s true identity.

This is something the series should address if it’s renewed for season two, as the truth can bring about all kinds of new drama.

Simon becomes a better dad than his father

Viewers know from flashbacks how cruel Simon’s dad was to him while he was growing up. It would be endearing to see how Simon contrasts this and becomes a good father to his son. This can be done either through flashbacks, or if viewers are lucky, this could be something they’ll actually get to see.

Imagine seeing Daphne and Simon act as parents! (Make it happen, Netflix.)

It should focus on Eloise and Penelope

Given its title, Bridgerton should clearly continue to focus on the Bridgerton family, and Eloise and Penelope’s storylines are the most entertaining in the show. Eloise is a feminist in a society that looks down upon women, which could make for an interesting focal point of the second season.

As a viewer, I would also be open to following one of the brothers to see where they end up or what happens to them. However, Eloise and Penelope are such a dynamic duo that it would be more entertaining to get a glimpse into their perspectives.

Fans find out who inherits Lord Featherington’s estate

Since Lord Featherington is killed, it’ll be interesting to see who inherits his estate. (Let’s just hope it’s not that jerk Daphne kicked. If it is, I could see him planning his revenge.)

It would be interesting if the prince got the estate or one of the Featherington boys. I can also see Simon purchasing it for Daphne’s sake, especially if the aforementioned jerk tries to claim it as his own.

The Featherington boys finding love

Viewers know that the Featherington boys are looking for love in Bridgerton‘s first season.  Anthony, Benedict, Colin, and Gregory would be extremely interesting to follow in season two. Viewers don’t know a lot about their love lives, but they’d be fun to explore in future episodes. I’m especially interested in seeing who Anthony ends up with, considering how irritating he appears to be when it comes to Daphne’s love life.

Bonus points if Bridgerton’s second season includes new pop songs as instrumentals. (I know I’d love to hear Taylor Swift’s “Willow” during a wedding scene!)
