A teaser for the Andor series coming to Disney+ was released during Disney Investor Day, and it sees Diego Luna talking about expanding Rogue One’s story.

Disney Investor Day revealed a ton of new series planned for the Star Wars franchise, but it also shared news about already-confirmed series — including Andor. The miniseries, which will follow Rogue One‘s Cassian Andor, was teased in a sizzle reel released during the event. And although the video didn’t offer any actual footage or in-depth plot details, Diego Luna discussing the upcoming show was more than enough to spur fans’ excitement.

The sizzle reel opens with footage from Rogue One, with Cassian telling Jyn Erso that everything he’s done has been for the rebellion. Then fans are treated to behind-the-scenes shots of the series’ sets being built, costumers being designed, and even a look at creature designer Neal Scanlan’s work for the show. Some of the other creatives involved, including CFX production supervisor Katie Newitt and costume designer Michael Wilkinson, also shared what they’ve been up to since beginning production.

All in all, the enthusiasm in the video was contagious, and it certainly got viewers talking.

In the reel, Luna, who is both the lead and executive producer for the series, discusses expanding the story started in Rogue One. “It’s a film that connected new audiences with the oldest fans,” he said. “It was a bittersweet feeling, the premiere, knowing that it was just one film. But then magic happens, right?”

And magic certainly did happen, with Andor getting a 12-episode run to explore who Luna’s character was before meeting Jyn Erso in Rogue One. Fans will also get a closer look at the rebellion during this time period.

“There’s tons of possibilities to explore,” he added. “It’s the building of a revolution.”

Andor went into production just two weeks ago, and the series is expected to premiere in 2022. It’s one of many projects Star Wars fans have to look forward to in the next few years, and it’s currently one of the most promising. After all, with the success of Rogue One, how can Lucasfilm go wrong by building on Cassian’s story?
