Captain Marvel 2, Secret Invasion and more Marvel projects announced
By Shaun Stacy
Thursday’s Disney Investor Day live stream featured new trailers and multiple announcements for many upcoming MCU projects, including Captain Marvel 2 and a Secret Invasion series.
Though Marvel Studios mostly skipped out on presentations at the virtual Comic-Con@ Home event this year, Thursday’s Disney Investor Day live stream more than made up for it.
President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, discussed the MCU’s current and upcoming projects, providing new trailers for WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, and more.
While some of the news, such as confirmation of the much-suspected casting of Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk, didn’t come as much of a surprise, the announcement of a Secret Invasion television series and that a Fantastic Four film was currently in development, was definitely brand new information.
Here is a quick rundown of what Feige covered during his presentation:
A new trailer for WandaVision, which premieres on Disney+ on January 15th:
- Xochitl Gomez has been cast as America Chavez, who will officially make her MCU debut in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which is currently in production.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is scheduled to premiere in March on Disney+. The first official trailer of the series is below.
The first teaser trailer for Tom Hiddleston’s Loki Disney+ series debuted:
An exclusive look at the animated series What If…?, which puts a spin on classic MCU stories, such as Peggy Carter becoming Captain America:
