Filming is underway on the upcoming Uncharted film, and Tom Holland gave us our first look at him as Nathan Drake, outfit and all.

Fans of the Uncharted gaming series from Naughty Dog have been clamoring for a movie version pretty much since the games released. Even Nathan Fillion got in on the action a few years ago.

Tom Holland has been cast in the film for quite a while, as it’s gone through pre-production issues for several years. But now, even despite COVID-19, production is finally underway. And who knew we would get a look at Nathan Drake in the flesh and blood so soon?

It came from Tom Holland himself. Check out his tweet below:

I mean… it’s spot-on. We already know he’s playing the young version of Nathan Drake, a la the start of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. Comments on his tweet have already drawn comparisons to the video game version. It’s really good.

And we know Holland has the acting chops for it, not to mention the action chops, too. His role as Peter Parker in the MCU definitely helps things.

Honestly, the only part of this movie that doesn’t thrill me is Mark Wahlberg as Sully. Then again, it’s a younger version of Sully, and it would make sense that he has that sort of swagger and no-nonsense BS that Walhberg will most likely bring to the character.

We don’t know much about the plot quite yet, just that it will be a prequel to the games. Fans of the video game series can make some educated guesses. We’ll definitely see when Drake and Sully meet. We’ll also get to see a younger version of Chloe in the form of Sophia Ali. And there’s bound to be a hunt for treasure like there is in every single game.

Will we see Sam, Nathan’s brother, who was prominent in A Thief’s End?  Can we hope for a cameo by voice actor Nolan North? I would die a happy woman if Nolan North showed up anywhere in this film.
